Suffolk Water Park will be closed from 5pm today (22.03.2020).

After much thought and discussion today we have decided to close the fishery and shop until further notice. We will reassess this decision next month and keep you all updated.

We value our customers and hard working team of staff, so we want to keep them safe. Although fishing is an outdoor sport the government are advising against non essential travel and we feel that although we love to accommodate you at the fishery we want to reduce the risk of exposure to and spread of the covid 19 virus.

Our staff and customers have families and children and we must all work together at this difficult time to ensure we remain healthy so we can enjoy our fishing again when we reopen after this situation is resolved.

If you have a booking within the next month, we will contact you to ensure you are aware of our closure and we will refund any deposits you may have paid.

Let's do this and stop the spread! Please stay safe and healthy and see you on the other side of this!

Please keep in contact with us as things could change in the near future.

Thank you for your continued support, Stu, Bex and Nick.

Lots of fish were caught and all the families were enthusiastic and eager to learn.  Suffolk Water Park gave Adult/junior day passes away to encourage families back into fishing!  Arthurs Burger Van were there to serve tasty grub and there were plenty of fishing inspired games to keep everyone occupied whilst they waited!

Bait-Tech added support to the event and offered anyone who signed up for the event the chance to be entered into a free prize draw to win a fishing tackle starter kit worth £60. The prize winner is to be announced shortly so watch this space!

Terry Rowles brought his Grandson Oliver to the event and he said:

"We both had a great time, I must say I have not been to Suffolk Water Park before so did not know what to expect, I found [the park]: very clean and well laid out, all your staff there, James and Hayley were brilliant, so helpful and friendly, also please pass on my profound thanks again to Wayne who mentored Oliver, he was great with him and took the time to explain it all to him and allow him to bring fish in on his own ( seven bream to 3 pounds  and a nice common carp of about 5-6 pounds ) we will definitely be back to carry on Ollie's fishing career, again thanks to everyone for arranging a great day."

Becky Eaks commented, " We love holding these events at Suffolk Water Park!  Bait-Tech have always been great supporters of getting kids into fishing and they have great contacts with coaches and volunteers, as does the Angling Trust who fund the events along with us and Bait-Tech.  We're planning on holding a couple of FREE Family Fishing Events next year and are holding meetings in October to arrange dates, so keep a look out!"
