Suffolk Water Park will be closed from 5pm today (22.03.2020).

After much thought and discussion today we have decided to close the fishery and shop until further notice. We will reassess this decision next month and keep you all updated.

We value our customers and hard working team of staff, so we want to keep them safe. Although fishing is an outdoor sport the government are advising against non essential travel and we feel that although we love to accommodate you at the fishery we want to reduce the risk of exposure to and spread of the covid 19 virus.

Our staff and customers have families and children and we must all work together at this difficult time to ensure we remain healthy so we can enjoy our fishing again when we reopen after this situation is resolved.

If you have a booking within the next month, we will contact you to ensure you are aware of our closure and we will refund any deposits you may have paid.

Let's do this and stop the spread! Please stay safe and healthy and see you on the other side of this!

Please keep in contact with us as things could change in the near future.

Thank you for your continued support, Stu, Bex and Nick.

First Carp Open Day a great Success!

Suffolk Water Park held their first Open Day this year on Saturday 9th June.  Over 200 people visited throughout the day with over 45 anglers fishing 24 hours on the Big Lake and Traditional Lake!

At the Open Day, bait & tackle companies Bait-Tech (With their Gaby Fish Pillows, pictured above!), NASH, Gardner and Ridgemonkey all set up displays and held bait & rig clinics and NASH displayed their entire titan bivvy range, chairs and bed chairs.

Gardner tackle set up their stand right outside the shop and they got great feedback with their rig clinics by James Clark, as a result we're now stocking bait screws in all sizes and the new Spod and Marker Braid!

There was bankside cooking by Simon Bishop for Ridgemonkey and Dave Levy and Dave Lane from the TV show “Carp Wars” mingled with the anglers.

It turned out to be a fabulous day weather wise too with anglers old and new bringing their families to view the stands, including the brightly coloured Gaby Fish Pillow stand, children played in Tee-pees and tried their hand at Hook a Duck.

The NASH Team introduced their new Hooks and sharpening kits including the new Tungsten Range, which we will be stocking as soon as they come in!

There were a few competitions running and NASH ran a Casting Competition for the Anglers, donating some fantastic prizes!  It’s always popular and anglers can show their competitive side whilst getting the chance to win some amazing products.  So far we’ve raised £200 in Aid of St Elizabeth Hospice.

Visitors mingled with the reps and chatted with anglers on the lakes for tips and advice. Stuart Mill said, "Over all it was a fantastic Day with a nice steady flow of visitors, which is great for us and the reps as we could speak to them all individually and had the time to give them all the information they wanted!"

Jimmy Wigg fished the Big Lake straight after the Open event and after chatting with the NASH reps he landed 3 Carp to 37lb 12oz (3 Scale)!

But the NASH guys couldn't leave with out catching a few Carp!

Thank you to all the Companies who supported us this year and to the volunteers who came to help out (In particular: Darren, Neil, Martin, Zach, Jenny and Ed!).

Suffolk Water Park will certainly hold the event again in 2019 making it for all anglers, Carp & Coarse, and inviting other companies to join them too! Watch this space!
