Suffolk Water Park will be closed from 5pm today (22.03.2020).

After much thought and discussion today we have decided to close the fishery and shop until further notice. We will reassess this decision next month and keep you all updated.

We value our customers and hard working team of staff, so we want to keep them safe. Although fishing is an outdoor sport the government are advising against non essential travel and we feel that although we love to accommodate you at the fishery we want to reduce the risk of exposure to and spread of the covid 19 virus.

Our staff and customers have families and children and we must all work together at this difficult time to ensure we remain healthy so we can enjoy our fishing again when we reopen after this situation is resolved.

If you have a booking within the next month, we will contact you to ensure you are aware of our closure and we will refund any deposits you may have paid.

Let's do this and stop the spread! Please stay safe and healthy and see you on the other side of this!

Please keep in contact with us as things could change in the near future.

Thank you for your continued support, Stu, Bex and Nick.

Silver Fish Challenge raises funds for local Hospice

The First Ken Brett Silver Fish Challenge in Aid of St Elizabeth Hospice was held at Suffolk Water Park on Thursday 14th September 2017.  The weather held out for the Charity Match and raffle, held to raise money for the hospice and 16 fished in total, a great turn out for a weekday match.  Suffolk Water Park donated Match Lake 1 for the event with all proceeds going to charity.  In total just over £520 was raised for the charity on the day!

Ken Brett was cared for by St Elizabeth Hospice. Ken was a keen fisherman and following his time in the hospice, wanted to hold a Silver Fish event to help raise funds for the hospice.  His hospice nurse Martin Russell and his brother Peter Brett came along and fished although unfortunately Ken was taken into hospital on the day of the match and Peter went to be with him. Sadly Ken passed away and our thoughts are with Ken’s family at this difficult time.

Brian Taylor from the Hospice organised the event extremely well, with kindly donated cash prizes and trophies for the winners and a raffle with donations from local businesses who supplied lots of fantastic prizes!  A big thank you to the following businesses for their donations:

Birds Tackle - Gladwells - Tackle Up - Bills Tackle - BEX Bait & Tackle - Suffolk Water Park

An average of 10lb of silvers were caught per angler with the winning weights as follows:
